Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operations Manager

Ulmer Contracting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operations Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials for equipment operations
  • Oversee apprenticeship training for heavy equipment operators
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Read blueprints and drawings for equipment maintenance
  • Recommend personnel actions for heavy equipment operators
  • Requisition materials and supplies for equipment operations
  • Supervise workers and projects related to heavy equipment operations
  • Train or arrange for training for heavy equipment operators
  • Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operations
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Reliability and dependability in a team environment
