Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operations Supervisor

Ulmer Contracting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operations Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned professional to oversee the operation of heavy equipment and machinery, ensuring efficient and safe work practices. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of heavy equipment operators, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Estimate costs and materials for equipment operations, and oversee the requisition of necessary supplies.
  • Train and develop heavy equipment operators, and arrange for training as needed.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers, and ensure effective communication with team members.
  • Recommend personnel actions, and participate in the recruitment and hiring process for heavy equipment operators.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Read blueprints and drawings, and recommend modifications as necessary.
  • Supervise the operation of mechanical equipment and machinery, and ensure proper maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations and safety regulations.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The work site will be outdoors, with exposure to dust, noise, and other hazardous conditions.
