Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Walmart Canada. As a Cashier, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner, providing assistance and resolving any issues that may arise during the checkout process.
  • Transaction Processing: Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) Program.
  • Product Promotion: Promote company-sponsored programs, such as credit card services, product protection, and charity initiatives, to customers.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise, ensuring their shopping experience is convenient and hassle-free.
  • Store Security: Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies, and awareness of surroundings.
  • Referral and Escalation: Refer any service or transactional issues to a Customer Service Manager as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate transaction processing and maintain store security.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
  • Basic Math Skills: Basic math skills to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
