Job Summary
Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead, Disaster Recovery and IT Resiliency Specialist to join our Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the operational side of disaster recovery and resilience, ensuring the continuity and availability of our critical systems and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EDC's IT resiliency framework and capabilities to ensure business continuity and minimize risks.
- Work closely with product owners, scrum masters, technical leads, and business stakeholders to identify testing scenarios for potential threats and design testing solutions.
- Oversee all operational aspects of IT disaster recovery, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Conduct regular testing, monitoring, and reporting of resiliency and disaster recovery plans and activities.
- Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Service Delivery & Resiliency Team and other EDC ITDR participants/stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of IT disaster recovery activities.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of technical operational experience in resiliency, disaster recovery, or business continuity management.
- Strong knowledge of operational side of resiliency and disaster recovery frameworks, standards, testing best practices, and chaos engineering.
- Strong infrastructure knowledge and experience working as a platform engineer, including Cloud (Microsoft Azure and AWS), hybrid, and on-premise systems.
- Expert-level system analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and infrastructure components issues.
- Professional certification in resiliency, disaster recovery, or business continuity management, such as CBCP, CRISC, or CISA.
Assets
- Architecture experience creating technical roadmaps.
- Detailed network design knowledge.
- End-to-end Business Continuity Management (BCM) experience, including conducting risk assessments, business impact analyses, and gap analyses.
- Experience working in the Agile methodology.
- Bilingualism in both official languages (English & French).
Salary Range
- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $92,355 to $123,140 plus a performance-based incentive.
Location
- Export Development Canada is a hybrid work environment.
- This role may be performed from EDC's headquarters in Ottawa, or from the Community Hub in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, or Halifax.
