Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our senior living operations and drive sales growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the general management of our retirement residence, delivering a superior "More Living" experience to residents.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure exceptional service and resident care.
- Efficiently manage all department operations, ensuring smooth functioning, strict compliance with collective agreements, and optimized fiscal resource allocation.
- Implement and maintain policies to uphold industry standards and regulations while achieving financial targets with maximum operational efficiency.
- Create a focus on sales and occupancy, ensuring the team collaborates to meet and exceed occupancy targets.
- Actively promote the residence within the local market, showcasing it as the top choice in retirement living.
- Set and monitor targets for employee engagement, resident satisfaction, audits, occupancy rates, and net operating profit.
- Build strong relationships with employees, residents, and their families, fostering open communication and continuous improvement.
- Minimum of five (5) years management experience, preferably in the seniors living industry, hotel, or hospitality-related industry.
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as required).
- Strong understanding of business planning and processes.
- Proven track record of achieving marketing, sales, and financial goals.
- Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.
