Job Description

Sync is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that enable our development teams to build, test, and release software efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and manage servers, networking equipment, and related components to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect and resolve issues within the infrastructure.
  • Analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization, making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for securing hardware and network infrastructure, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to hardware and network security.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of experience working on DevOps technologies.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on hardware and network infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Ansible, shell scripting, database queries, and PHP.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, VPN, and load balancing.
  • Familiarity with hardware components, server provisioning, and data center operations.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and task orchestration.
  • Complete proficiency in Linux, especially on the CLI.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk.
