The Assistant Executive Housekeeper plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the Housekeeping Department at Coast Hotels. Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper, this individual will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in all hotel areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily room inspections using the Daily Checklist to ensure compliance with Coast Hotels' cleaning standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained at all times, adhering to WHMIS training, certification, and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance department to complete and follow up on repair and maintenance work orders.
  • Issue daily work assignments and special instructions to the Housekeeping Team.
  • Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed.
  • Conduct end-of-shift inspections to ensure public areas meet established standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related position.
  • Successful completion of secondary education.
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, with completed courses in hotel management preferred.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds, stand and/or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive foot and hand actions.
  • Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Exemplifies Coast's core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
