Assistant Executive Housekeeper

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will contribute to the overall success of Coast Hotels by assisting the Executive Housekeeper in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards
  • Conduct daily room inspections using the Daily Checklist and report any issues
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all Housekeeping team members adhere to WHMIS training and emergency preparedness
  • Set up guest rooms according to established standards prior to arrival
  • Complete and follow up on all repair and maintenance work orders
  • Issue daily work assignments and special instructions to the Housekeeping Team
  • Clean guest rooms and public areas as needed
  • Conduct end-of-shift inspections to ensure that public areas meet established standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a related position
  • Successful completion of secondary education
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality with courses in hotel management preferred
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
