Exhibit Installation Specialist

Job Summary:

Stevens E3 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Exhibit Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Exhibit Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective installation and dismantling of exhibits and related products/services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Dismantling of Exhibits:
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications
    • Create verified pull lists and identify crating requirements
    • Assemble and stage exhibit or product for client viewing and quality control
    • Disassemble staged exhibits, pack effectively and safely, and create bill of materials
    • Transport product
    • Install and dismantle exhibits
    • Assign job tasks and communicate relevant information/expected results to show service personnel on-site
    • Motivate on-site staff
    • Implement and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies
    • Arrange special requests of clients
    • Supervise on-site show labor
    • Handle on-site problems
    • Recommend cost-saving measures
    • Problem solve on-site
  • Administration:
    • Complete reports concerning field service jobs, including service contractor forms
    • Prepare outbound labels/bills of lading and submit paperwork to show management
    • Document on-site changes and associated costs for client approval
  • Construct and Repair Exhibits:
    • Follow standards and procedures and make adjustments as necessary
    • Fabricate components in accordance with time-frame available
    • Laminate and finish according to specifications
    • Use tools for measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
  • Ensure Operation of Carpentry Equipment:
    • Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment malfunctions
    • Evaluate new equipment and techniques and make recommendations to management
  • Maintain Safe and Clean Working Environment:
    • Comply with all rules and regulations

Required Skills/Experience/Education:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Completion of a three to four year apprenticeship program
  • A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college, or industry courses in carpentry
  • Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada and the United States
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to operate under significant time constraints and pressure
  • Working knowledge of exhibit construction and materials
  • Knowledge of trade shows, show management, graphic arts
  • Carpentry experience an asset
