Food Service Team Lead

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SAKURA SUSHI COBOURG. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and safe food handling practices
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and healthy work environment
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing resources
- Monitor and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions
- Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with the chef to prepare food order summaries and ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and adapt to changing menu offerings
- Establish work schedules and delegate tasks to staff, ensuring effective time management and workload distribution
