Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

GDB Landscaping Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - 65,000 per year, based on experience and location, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance and retirement savings plan.
Job Description:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
- Clean and lubricate equipment regularly to prevent wear and tear, and refill tanks as needed.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment before use, identifying any potential issues or hazards.
- Secure special attachments to equipment, such as buckets and augers, to ensure safe operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to understand equipment designs and operation requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Work site environment: Outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Physical capabilities: Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and withstand physical demands of the job.
