Executive Culinary Leader

The Newmarket Keg Steakhouse & Bar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Culinary Leader to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory. You will analyze operating costs and other data to optimize our menu offerings and ensure that our food meets the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Analyzing operating costs and other data to optimize menu offerings
- Supervising activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Creating new recipes and menus to ensure food quality and consistency
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies to meet operational needs
- Planning menus and ensuring food meets quality standards
- Recruiting and hiring staff to support culinary operations
- Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Requirements:
- College/CEGEP education
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
