Job Title: Executive Culinary Director
The Newmarket Keg Steakhouse & Bar seeks an accomplished and experienced Executive Culinary Director to lead our culinary team.
Salary:We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:As Executive Culinary Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, kitchen management, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
- Analyze operating costs and other data to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
- Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Create innovative and delicious menus that meet customer expectations and drive sales.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and minimal waste.
- Plan menus and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
- Recruit and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
- Proven experience as a head chef or executive culinary director in a high-volume restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, kitchen management, and staff supervision.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Certifications such as HACCP or food safety training are highly desirable.
