Job Title: Data Provisioning and Reporting Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Provisioning and Reporting Manager to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. As a key member of our Philanthropy department, you will be responsible for overseeing the Data Provisioning and Reporting Team and performing managerial duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Data Provisioning and Reporting Team, including approving time sheets, vacation, and performance evaluations.
- Develop workplans for the Data & Reporting team and negotiate deliverables and timelines with leadership of other teams within Philanthropy & Marketing.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and external suppliers.
- Investigate and respond to escalated customer/external supplier concerns and resolve issues relating to data inaccuracies.
- Maintain security structure and reporting architecture within Power BI for Philanthropy & Marketing.
- Support the migration of PowerBI report and dashboard sources to new enterprise-wide EDP.
- Work with teams to identify and create metrics that indicate success.
- Monitor and report program results on an ongoing basis and provide key performance information for Philanthropy Team on behalf of the Data Team.
- Document processes to import and export data and ensure high standard of efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with internal and external suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Collaborate with teams to implement best practice, maintain policies, procedures, controls, and ensure adherence to standards.
- Ensure all work assigned to the Data team aligns with data governance according to the Data Governance Framework for CRC.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary university degree in a relevant discipline.
- 10 or more years of related work experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Superior analytical skills and ability to interpret complex information and communicate it to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and hands-on implementation experience.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high level of sustained concentration.
- High-level knowledge and experience of Power BI and SQL.
- High-level proficiency and accuracy in Microsoft Office tools.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM preferred but not essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
- Ability to effectively develop strong cross-functional working relationships, evidenced by a track record of teamwork and collaboration, building relationships within and beyond the Philanthropy department.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple conflicting demands.
- Good knowledge of ticketing systems (JIRA is an asset).
- Experience with knowledgebase software (especially Confluence & SharePoint).
- Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of and experience with technical skills such as SQL and DAX.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, technical, and numeracy skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking to tackle each ask and issue problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
- Strong interpersonal capabilities.
Working Conditions:
- The majority of this work will be executed from home.
