Job Title: Casual Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse Supervisor, you will play a key role in supervising designated staff and performing nursing procedures within the competency guidelines and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise designated staff by assigning work and determining priorities, evaluating and providing feedback on employee performance and evaluations
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to meet the needs of the client in accordance with competency guidelines, established standards of practice and current legislative scope of practice
  • Contribute to the development and modification of the client's care plan, including attending and providing feedback to the interdisciplinary team around care planning and family conferences
  • Visit assigned staff in the client's home to assess the skills and abilities of the staff to meet the client's needs
  • Perform nursing care and procedures, evaluate client outcomes, and record observations and reports problems and/or changes to designated staff for follow-up
  • Respond to general inquiries by telephone and in person, provide direction and information about available programs and policies

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an approved school in Practical Nursing
  • Two (2) years' recent, related clinical and/or supervisory experience in a community health setting
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
