About the Role:

East End Tailoring Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clothing Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, teaching interest or professional development courses, and designing settings, scenic environments, costumes, and lighting for our exhibitions and retail spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members.
  • Teach interest or professional development courses to enhance the skills of our team members.
  • Design settings, scenic environments, costumes, and lighting for our exhibitions and retail spaces.
  • Plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces, and other exhibitions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Art or fashion design experience, including day or office wear, women's clothing, children's clothing, and men's clothing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Personal qualities: accurate, dependable, reliable, team player.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
