Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Up North Dental Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our healthcare team. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Deliver messages, reports, and specimens between departments
  • Supervise patients' exercise routines and provide guidance on healthy habits
  • Transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs and respond accordingly
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols
Work Environment:

The Healthcare Assistant will work in a hospital or medical facility setting, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Language: English
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
