We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Joseph Brant Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform testing, calibration, quality control, and maintenance procedures on reagents and equipment, including troubleshooting, in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely test results.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and procedures.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) required.
- Recent experience in a core laboratory setting required.
- Strong working knowledge of clinical chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and continuous improvement skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
