Job Description:

This role is accountable for driving the quality agenda and leading implementation and governance of all Quality and Food Safety requirements. The objective of this role is to achieve and maintain a high standard of food safety performance in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field, and internship experience in quality and food safety. Alternatively, a combination of education and 3+ years of demonstrated success in manufacturing/quality experience is required.

The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally to achieve objectives, as well as demonstrated knowledge in auditing Quality Management Systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills, are essential for this role.

This position requires the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and reduce incidents related to change management. The ideal candidate will also have experience with ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, GFSI Quality Systems, and HACCP/Food Safety Plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the quality agenda in the value stream, coordinating and managing quality initiatives.
  • Lead quality reviews and value stream FMOS meetings.
  • Coordinate QMP in the value stream, including CAPAs, internal audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement global Mars standards into the value stream and drive to full compliance.
  • Manage the food safety program within the value stream, including achieving compliance with external standards and governing GMP/GHP and CCP/OPRP programs.
  • First-line Q&FS incident management, including handling coordination with outside stakeholders and leading root cause analysis investigations.
  • Follow up consumer and customer complaints and lead action plans within the value stream.
  • Implement Visual Product Quality (KAPPA) in the value stream.
  • Provide technical input to value stream activities and conduct level 2 troubleshooting related to Q&FS.
