Job Summary:

Durham Continuing Education, a program of the Durham District School Board, is seeking a qualified Temporary LINC/ESL Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English language instruction to adult learners in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver English language instruction to adult learners in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and colleagues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • TESL Ontario certification and membership in good standing
  • Experience working with adults an asset
  • Successful completion of PBLA training
  • Successful completion of Avenue training
  • Comfort and experience working in an online learning environment preferred
  • Vulnerable Sector Criminal Background Check required
