Long Haul Truck Driver

At Whistler 99 Courier and Freightways Corporation, we are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and Unload: Load and unload goods and materials at various locations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and make any necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and ensure clear communication with other drivers and team members.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work in various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites.
