About the Role:

Communitech is seeking a skilled Public Relations Manager to join our Communications team. This role will focus on effectively communicating the value and impact of our activities through relationship building and storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement media relations strategies to secure earned media coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members of the media, both traditional and emerging.
  • Prepare and distribute news releases, articles, and online communications.
  • Coordinate media events and manage media databases.
  • Monitor publicity and conduct research to determine the success of our communications and PR initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of direct work experience in a public relations or media relations role.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills.
  • Superb writing, content development, and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of the tech industry.
  • Direct experience working with journalists and a keen understanding of journalistic principles and practices.
