Worship Director (Part-time or Full time)

City Centre Baptist Church is seeking a skilled Worship Director to lead and develop our worship ministry. This individual will be responsible for planning and executing creative worship experiences that align with our church's vision and values.

City Centre Baptist Church is a multi-cultural family of believers from diverse backgrounds. Our congregation includes people of all ages and cultures, and we strive to reflect the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Associate Pastor to develop worship services and overall worship experience.
  • Oversee the Music and Worship Arts teams to create a cohesive and meaningful Sunday service experience.
  • Lead and implement the vision for Sunday and special worship services.
  • Develop a worship environment that honors our church's multi-cultural and multi-generational nature.
  • Build and lead a worship team by providing leadership, coaching, and development for musicians.
  • Work in cooperation with other ministry areas to provide worship-related support and resources.
  • Develop an annual worship ministry budget and manage it effectively.
  • Oversee the maintenance of musical instruments and the church's worship tech ministry.
  • Plan and direct special worship service events, such as Christmas and Easter services.

Qualifications:

  • Biblically qualified and living above reproach.
  • Models an active and growing Christian faith, character, lifestyle, and testimony.
  • Firmly embraces evangelical Baptist theology.
  • Demonstrably gifted in leadership, communications, and interpersonal engagement.
  • Evidences a caring heart for people and a passion for souls.
  • Spiritually mature, a team player, and an accountable servant-leader.

Requirements:

  • Two or more years of worship leadership experience.
  • Significant skill as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
  • Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes.
  • Proficient in reading music.
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree, with some formal training in music preferred.

Full-time or Part-time Considered:

We are open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates, with a flexible schedule that includes Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasional other days.
