Operational Improvement Specialist

SaskEnergy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Operational Improvement Specialist. This position plays a crucial part in the implementation of the Customer Service Operations Continuous Improvement Program, aligning with the company's mission, strategic objectives, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects to maximize business process efficiency and effectiveness using recognized continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and recommend divisional objectives and performance targets, facilitating department-level improvement activities.
- Accountable for the development and presentation of analysis findings and business improvement recommendations to stakeholders.
- Lead cross-divisional teams to execute specific improvements, ensuring a direct link between strategic initiatives and business key performance indicators.
- Determine appropriate analytical methods and tools to evaluate and address business issues and opportunities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans with integrated approaches to stakeholder identification, resource planning, and risk management.
Requirements
- Eight years of progressive business experience with a record of continuous improvement.
- A degree and/or graduate degree in Business Administration, Sciences, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt (or higher) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are an asset.
- Strong problem-solving capability, ability to interpret data, and engage meaningfully in big picture strategy.
- Ability to understand complex systems, interdependencies, and related cause and effect.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and presenting ideas to stakeholders.
Additional Information
- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters, may be required on occasion.
- A Class 5 Driver's License is required.
