Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Banff International Hostel. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Guest Services: Handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, provide basic information on facilities, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of facilities.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for all.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week.
