Job Title: Production Worker

At Powell Canada Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Worker to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in assisting the manufacturing process for various products and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Graphograph Laser to produce plastic and stainless steel nameplates (labels).
  • Utilize a Xenetech Engraver to produce plastic nameplates.
  • Communicate with different printers to produce wire shrinks and terminal markers.
  • Create heatshrinks, engrave nameplates, and lamacoids.
  • Install nameplates and lamacoids on panels.
  • Generate wire tag lists from wiring drawings and enter into spreadsheets.
  • Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
  • Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying potential risks to product quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Motivation to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working on a computer with Microsoft Suite.
  • Conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing job tasks.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to manufacturing policies and practices to ensure ISO requirements.
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum education level of a High School Diploma.
  • 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic ability to perform mathematical calculations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling.
  • Bending, crouching, and extending arms and hands in any direction.
  • Ability to work seated for long periods.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and typing.
