Senior Business Analyst Opportunity

At Vancouver Airport Authority, we're seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Advanced Analytics Department. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in driving business intelligence and data analytics initiatives that support our organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define and implement business intelligence strategies, working closely with the business to develop plans and architecture.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of business intelligence and data analytics projects, including defining scope, developing project plans, budgets, and tracking deliverables to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Document current business processes, conduct requirements analysis, and identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Establish and enforce standards, best practices, and methodologies for business intelligence processes and tools.
  • Mentor business and junior IT resources in business analysis, technical troubleshooting, and business intelligence and data warehouse support skills.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of ten years' recent experience implementing and supporting enterprise data warehouses in medium to large organizations, supplemented by a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Five years recent experience in senior-level business analysis and project management.
  • Strong business analysis (BA) and project management (PM) skills.
  • Ability to oversee and plan all activities around the management of IT systems/programs with a focus on service delivery and a proactive outlook.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) is considered an asset.
