About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Team Lead to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Clinical Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing education to various stakeholders, including VAC District offices, and maintaining contact with referring VAC area counsellors, RCMP, and DND in the development of treatment plans and referrals.

You will utilize OSI-supported telemental health and other distance technologies in the provision of services in outlying communities. Additionally, you will work with the Canadian network of OSI clinics and follow the leadership of the Operational Stress Injuries National Network.

As a Clinical Team Lead, you will work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies, and procedures of the NSHA and in compliance with the VAC guidelines for OSI clinics.

You will provide specialized psychological testing and therapy as needed and within the scope of practice. You will also provide regular opportunities for individual consultation with psychology staff and review/meet with Candidate Register psychologists and provide a second signature on assessments when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide education to various stakeholders, including VAC District offices

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a recognized doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be registered or eligible for registration under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia.

The candidate will also have a CPA/APA accredited internship/residency (or equivalent) in clinical psychology and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD using evidence-based approaches.

Key Requirements:

  • Recognized doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Registered or eligible for registration under the Psychologists Act of Nova Scotia
  • CPA/APA accredited internship/residency (or equivalent) in clinical psychology
  • Clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD using evidence-based approaches
Hours

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly.
