  • Recruit and hire new staff members as needed
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate coverage
  • Supervise staff to ensure they are following health and safety regulations
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance
  • Cost products and services to ensure profitability
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals to achieve team goals

Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a bar or restaurant management role
  • Proven track record of success in managing daily operations and staff
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
  • Basic security clearance and criminal record check
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
