Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated District School Psychologist to join our team at School District No. 60 (Peace River North). This is a temporary full-time position effective September 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psycho-educational assessments for students referred through the school-based team process
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents, and community agencies to enhance learning and interpersonal relations
  • Design and implement instructional strategies and interventions to support student success
  • Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
  • Consult with school-based and district personnel to gather data, design interventions, and evaluate programs
Requirements
  • Doctorate or Master's degree in educational psychology or a related field
  • Graduate training in measurement and individual psychological assessments
  • Successful practicum placement
  • Current membership with the BC Association of School Psychologists or the College of Psychologists of BC
  • Ability to participate in meetings and provide services within and beyond the regular school day
