Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at School District #60 (Peace River North). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing psycho-educational assessments, collaborative planning, and consultation services to students, teachers, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments for students referred through the school-based team process
  • Provide ongoing collaborative planning for students and classrooms
  • Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication
  • Consult with teachers, support staff, parents, students, and community agencies regarding student strengths and needs
  • Collaborate with school-based and/or district personnel to gather classroom-based data, design or implement instructional strategies/interventions
  • Provide additional support for educators and support staff through professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in educational psychology or a related field
  • Successful practicum placement
  • Knowledge of Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures
  • Current membership, in good standing, with the BC Association of School Psychologists or the College of Psychologists of BC
