Compensation

The successful candidate can expect an estimated annual salary of $109,280 based on 37.5 hours of work per week, subject to overtime and shift premiums. Employees of Local 183 receive a total wage package of $76.55 per hour, including vacation and statutory holiday pay, health and welfare benefits, pension, and more.

Job Description

This role requires a highly skilled Tunnel Foreman to drive quality, efficiency, and productivity of work crews. Key responsibilities include:

  • Documenting and maintaining company-owned tools, equipment, and assets;
  • Scheduling, coordinating, and supervising site operatives to deliver work safely, on time, and within budget;
  • Recording and communicating hours worked and operational issues;
  • Operating and promoting safe working practices on site;
  • Conducting risk assessments and delivering toolbox talks/briefings.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  • Secondary education or equivalent;
  • Practical training, classroom, or simulation experience;
  • Working knowledge of English;
  • Familiarity with OSHA and basic supervisory safety awareness training;
  • 2-3 years' experience with Tunnel Boring Machine operations, Slurry TBM, concrete segment lining (6.0m diameter), and Herrenknecht equipment.
