Travel Requirements: Travel will be required to Aecon’s sites throughout Canada

Language: Must speak, read, and write in English

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee operations of the slurry treatment plant (STP) and water treatment plant (WTP) for our slurry TBM tunnelling project (7m boring diameter machine)
- Support plant team during the erection of the STP and commissioning procedures; assist with development of construction procedures
- Manage STP/WTP personnel, including hiring, training and main task assignment; act as site/ project supervisor.
- Ensure accurate records of plant operations, waste processing, quality testing, and regulatory compliance and produce relevant reports e.g. shift reports for STP
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the treated slurry meets specified standards before discharge or reuse.
- Implementation of sustainable practices, such as waste minimization, energy efficiency, and resource recovery to reduce the plant's environmental impact.
- Development of slurry KPI to meet different geology strata for safe and efficient tunnelling.
- Continuously evaluate and improve treatment processes to enhance efficiency, minimize waste generation, and maximize resource recovery.
- Coordinate with plant team and STP manufacturer to handle equipment maintenance and repair solutions.
- Coordinate with tunnel production team to optimize slurry and treatment.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans, including spill containment and cleanup procedures.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or mining engineering or equivalent
- 2-3 years STP engineer or manager working experience with a slurry treatment plant, with a capacity over 1,200 m3/h.
- 2-3 years relevant working experience on large infrastructure projects (>500 million CAD)
- 2-3 years’ experience with slurry TBM operation
- 2-3 years’ experience with working on a tunnelling project
- 2-3 years’ experience with processing plant (water plant and alike)
- Proficient in English: written and oral.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- $120,000 CAD to $140,000 CAD annually
- Work 37.5 hours/week

**Working Conditions and Environment**
- Primary work location at 1 Holt Road South, Bowmanville, Ontario, L1C 3Z8 with work and travel required throughout Ontario
- Project, training and business-related travel may be required.
- Exposure to construction work site environment in all seasons
- Relocation within Canada may be required. Relocation costs covered by employer
