We are seeking a skilled Visual Art Educator to join our team at the British Columbia Creative Center. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for art with students of all ages and skill levels.
About the RoleThis is a part-time position that requires approximately 8 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual arts, as well as excellent communication and teaching skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching art classes, including techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and more. You will also have the opportunity to develop and lead workshops, as well as assist with special events and projects.
About the SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is between $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience. This translates to a weekly salary of $200-$280.
RequirementsTo be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts or a related field;
- 1-2 years of experience teaching art or working in a related field;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A strong understanding of art principles and techniques;
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
