Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at MASTER CONSTRUCTION LTD.

Job Summary:

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimate costs and materials: Develop and manage project budgets, including estimating costs and materials required for each project.
  • Oversee apprenticeship training: Coordinate and supervise apprenticeship training programs to ensure that new employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Prepare production and other reports: Prepare regular reports on project progress, including production reports, safety reports, and other relevant information.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions: Recruit, hire, and manage a team of construction workers, including coordinating staffing actions and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: Coordinate and schedule construction activities, including ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are in place.
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers: Collaborate with other project supervisors and managers to ensure that all construction activities are coordinated and completed on time.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed: Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations, including conducting regular safety inspections and providing training to employees.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules: Develop and implement methods to meet project deadlines, including coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Read blueprints and drawings: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure that construction activities are conducted in accordance with project plans.
  • Recommend personnel actions: Recommend personnel actions, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Requisition materials and supplies: Requisition materials and supplies, including coordinating with suppliers and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Supervise workers and projects: Supervise construction workers and projects, including ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and that all construction activities are conducted in accordance with project plans.
  • Train or arrange for training: Provide training to employees, including coordinating with external training providers and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a construction-related field.
  • Work site environment: Dusty and noisy work site environment.
  • Supervision: Supervise 5-10 people.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure and have excellent physical capabilities.
  • Personal suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, and team player.
