Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Border Paving Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our paving crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Work Environment:

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, with a focus on safety and quality. You will be working outdoors in various locations, often in dusty and noisy conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including graders and pavers, to complete paving projects.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, refill tanks, and perform minor repairs.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and prepare accident reports.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment and operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the paving crew to ensure project completion.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Valid certification or training in heavy equipment operation.
