Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food service operations
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training and development
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards and address customer complaints or concerns
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. The role will involve a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service operations
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and ability to train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
