Alstom is a global leader in rail transport, and we're looking for a seasoned Signaling Project Engineering Director to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and organizing the Signaling Engineering Team, executing signaling engineering projects according to QCD commitments, and managing workforce according to workload and ensuring Best Cost Country roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize the Signaling Engineering Team
- Execute signaling engineering projects according to QCD commitments
- Manage workforce according to workload and ensure Best Cost Country roadmap
- Drive co-engineering with process engineering and co-development with suppliers
- Push improvement programs based on central recommendations and local initiatives
- Develop on-site engineering staff and succession plans
- Apply common processes, methods, and tools and capture Return of Experience for continuous improvement
- Supervise products, key technical decisions, and safety-critical issues
- Monitor project-to-cost programs in engineering
- Manage cost center, budget preparation, and monitoring structural overheads
- Support and promote innovations
Requirements
For this role, we're looking for a professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, and P. Eng certification or in progress. You'll need at least 10 years of signaling experience, with 5+ years of team management experience, and an engineering background including project deployment full lifecycle view until commissioning.
