Reliability and Safety Engineer Position in the Railway Sector

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) engineer to join our team at Teoresi, Inc. This is a full-time position based in either Toronto, Canada or Pittsburgh, USA.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in RAMS activities, preferably in the railway sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying RAM and safety principles and disciplines at both the subsystem and vehicle levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform qualitative and quantitative RAMS assessments, including LCC, Failure Rate, MTBF, Fault Propagation, SIL Allocation, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, and HARA.
- Analyze functional, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, as well as electronic components.
- Interface with software testing, including module, software integration, and hardware/software testing.
- Have knowledge of RAMS analysis techniques: FMEA/FMECA, FTA, RCM, Hazard Analysis, LCC, and Reliability prediction.
- Understand railway systems, including signaling.
- Familiarity with CENELEC standards EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50657, EN 50129, IEC 61508, and Reg. 402/2013.
What We Offer
Teoresi, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive insurance policies, including health, vision, dental, life, long-term disability, and short-term disability. Location and Work Environment
