Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at GB Emmet Holdings Inc. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service to our customers.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and motivated team in place to deliver exceptional service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that we are operating within our financial means.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date information to inform our business decisions.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates on our operations and performance.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment, coffee shop.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and coordinate activities of staff, train staff, estimate ingredients and supplies, hire and manage staff, ensure quality control, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customer complaints, maintain records, prepare reports.
  • Supervision: 5-10 people, food service counter attendants, and food preparers.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, physically demanding.
