Job Overview

Baker Tilly KDN LLP is seeking experienced Business Leaders to manage our Small Business Services teams in the Kawarthas and Durham regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth.

About the Role

We are looking for skilled professionals with a strong background in accounting and leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to multitask, and possess a passion for learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of accounting technicians to ensure timely completion of client work
  • Oversee bookkeeping and payroll processes for multiple engagements
  • Coordinate client engagement scheduling and manage staff capacity
  • Supervise and manage the completion of department tasks to meet deadlines
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior and senior staff

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Diploma or degree in accounting or commerce
  • CPA designation is an asset
  • At least 7 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting environment
  • A minimum of 3 years in a progressive management experience
  • Proven leadership skills in a collaborative environment
