Job Title: Senior Facilities Engineer

At Veren, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations and maintenance group, you will be responsible for leading and managing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and interns in the coordination and execution of the management of change process.
  • Participate in and oversee budgeting, project identification, development, and prioritization.
  • Direct and oversee facilities optimization activities, including debottlenecking, modifications, and scoping projects.
  • Develop and implement process safety management protocols and standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Calgary-based facilities engineers and field-based development teams.
  • Strategically plan and evaluate facility/pipeline requirements for current and future capital development.
  • Lead and drive the annual budgeting process and efficient execution of annual budget capital.
  • Ensure and oversee the implementation of best engineering practices and safe work practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and registration as a P.Eng with APEGS.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the Canadian upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Advanced experience in oil and gas field operations and maintenance.
  • Proven expertise in capital project planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience with proven ability to foster teamwork and motivate colleagues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of all regulatory requirements in the jurisdiction.
