About the Role:


We are seeking an empathetic and insightful child psychiatrist to join our team. As the Most Responsible Physician for your patients during hospital stays, you will ensure continuity of care that families can trust. Your expertise will be pivotal in conducting psychiatric assessments and treatments for patients up to 18 years old.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and treatments for patients up to 18 years old
  • Lead as the Most Responsible Physician for your patients during hospital stays
  • Participate in program development, policy refinement, and procedure implementation
  • Mentor peers, medical undergraduates, postgraduate residents, and participants in the UBC–Okanagan Psychiatry program


Salary and Benefits:


The estimated salary for this role is between $420,000–$620,000 per year, derived from a combination of fee-for-service payments, sessional contracts, and MOCAP level 2.
