Practice Details:

At Royal Inland Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of child and adolescent psychiatry in Kamloops. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing comprehensive care to patients up to 18 years old, addressing a range of mental health concerns, including transitions to adulthood, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide timely treatments for patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatricians, and social workers
  • Refine programs, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality care
  • Mentor peers, medical undergraduates, postgraduate Family Practice residents, and participants in the UBC–Okanagan Psychiatry program
Qualifications:
  • Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Hold, or be eligible for, licensure with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association in order to practice medicine
Work-Life Balance:

Compensation:

As a full-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Kamloops, you can expect total compensation between $420,000–$620,000, derived from a combination of fee-for-service payments, sessional contracts, and MOCAP level 2.
