Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Kamloops, B.C. as a Mental Health Specialist. This is a permanent part-time (0.50 FTE) opportunity to provide psychological services, including assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, and treatment planning in the clinical practice area of Tertiary Mental Health Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessment services, utilizing standardized and evidenced-based interview and assessment procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating psychological assessment results with the broader treatment plan.
  • Provide evidenced-based individual short-term therapy/counseling interventions, including behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination of services/programs with community agencies, other healthcare providers, and special interest groups.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and appropriateness of treatment and resources, identifying opportunities for change and formulating recommendations for quality improvement.
