Registered Clinical Counselor - Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops
Location: Hybrid* in Kamloops, BC
- 16-20 hours/week (Casual, up to Part Time)

Responsibilities:- Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
- Adopt a goal-focused, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss clients’ treatment plan and goals, the progress made to date, and any barriers to treatment.
- Deliver quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology from an accredited University.
- Registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
- Must have minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Registered Clinical Counsellor.
- Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
- Have clinical knowledge in the areas of grief/loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment issues.
- Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
- Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., CBT, ACT, CPT).
- Experience working as part of a multi/interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing assessment, progress, and discharge reports.
- Hybrid: This counsellor would be attached to the Kamloops clinic, with ability to be in-person (preferred) on Wednesdays (8am-1pm) at Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops (164 Oriole Rd, Kamloops, BC V2C 4N7).
