Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, working with suppliers and carriers, and identifying cost savings opportunities for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and carriers to correct part/shipment issues and improve overall logistics efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal associates and customers to ensure timely and accurate information exchange.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor to support the team's goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of Transportation Management experience preferred, with a focus on shipment coordination.
  • Ability to learn and operate multiple transportation management and inventory systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, and experience using office tools such as MS Office or Google Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • The associate will be required to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
  • The associate may be required to stand, walk, and sit while performing the duties of this job.
  • The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
