Job Summary:We are looking for an individual with a strong background in analytical chemistry and experience with GC/MS instrumentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples for PAH analysis, as well as performing other laboratory tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare samples for analysis using standard operating procedures
- Operate GC/MS instrumentation and maintain up-to-date maintenance and daily operating records
- Ensure analytical records are properly labelled, completed and filed
- Meet quality and turnaround time specifications required by clients
- Provide supervisor with updates on workstation status
- Maintain control charts as per QA manual requirements
- Technical diploma in Analytical Chemistry or related field
- GC/MS experience preferred
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures and instrumental techniques
- Good analytical laboratory skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines
