About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Access Coordinator to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of patient flow and bed utilization across our acute care sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the effective utilization of hospital resources by coordinating patient placement and bed utilization on site and at designated Fraser Health acute sites.
  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure timely and efficient patient access and flow.
  • Provide guidance and direction to healthcare teams regarding patient access and community transitions.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements, supervise staff, and adjust assignments as needed.
  • Represent management in dealing with issues pertaining to patients, families, or community partners.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Five (5) years' recent, related clinical experience in an acute care, multidisciplinary facility, including nursing leadership experience and preference to experience in critical care areas or access and planning.
  • Ability to apply continuous quality improvement tools and techniques in problem-solving.
  • Ability to supervise in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to prepare and present educational material.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and applicable software applications.
