About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Manager II to lead our Etobicoke branch and drive business growth. As a key member of our retail banking team, you will be responsible for managing branch operations, leading a team of financial services professionals, and delivering exceptional Member experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Member-Centric Focus: Establish a Member-centric culture within the branch, promoting lobby leadership and exceptional Member service in all interactions.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and develop the branch team's sales and advice skills, product knowledge, and relationship development skills to drive business growth and Member satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Identify external opportunities to build and develop business within the community, lead branch campaigns, and optimize results to acquire new Members and grow the portfolio.
  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of all employees, including training, coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to ensure the team is aligned with business objectives.
  • Investment Advice: Provide holistic advice to Members, identifying the appropriate solutions to meet their short- and long-term objectives, and refer complex investment service needs to the Wealth Management team as required.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure effective use and integration of the CRM in all advice-based activities, and make decisions that mitigate risk, adhere to policy and procedure, and prioritize Member needs.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Education: A degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Financial Services Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in financial services, with a minimum of three years in a leadership or management role.
  • Professional Designations: A mutual funds license (IFIC) and other relevant certifications.
  • Business Acumen: Proven success in growing business, establishing community and Member relationships, and driving sales and relationship management.
  • Leadership Skills: Outstanding people management and leadership skills, including the ability to coach, lead, motivate, and manage a team through change.
